Employment Offer
The Employment Offer stream under the International Skilled Worker Category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is designed for skilled workers who have a job offer for a full-time, permanent position from a Saskatchewan employer.
This stream is an attractive pathway for individuals seeking to immigrate to Saskatchewan because it facilitates the nomination process for permanent residency based on secured employment within the province.
Eligible Criteria
✔ Job Offer: The job offer must be for a full-time, permanent position in Saskatchewan. The position should correspond to the applicant’s field of training or work experience, ensuring relevance and expertise. The job must be classified under NOC Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations), Skill Level A (professional occupations), Skill Level B (technical occupations and skilled trades), or in a designated trade in Saskatchewan (like electrician or plumber).
✔ Work Experience: Applicants are generally expected to have at least one to two years of work experience in their related field, although specific requirements can vary based on the occupation and employer needs. Work experience should be relevant to the job offer and the applicant’s field of training.
✔ Licensing and Professional Certification: If the occupation is regulated in Saskatchewan and requires specific licensing (for professions such as engineering, medicine, or education), the applicant must demonstrate that they have applied for or obtained the necessary certification from the appropriate regulatory body in Saskatchewan.
✔ Language Ability: The minimum language requirement can vary by occupation. For example, for jobs classified under NOC Skill Level B, the minimum language benchmark might be set at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4. However, higher proficiency levels may be required for certain positions, particularly those involving significant communication skills.
✔ SINP Points Assessment Grid: Applicants need to score at least 60 out of 100 points on the SINP points assessment grid. Points are awarded based on five factors: age, education, work experience, language ability, and adaptability (which includes factors such as having a close relative in Saskatchewan, past work or study experience in the province, or a high-skilled employment offer).
